H.E. Võ Văn Thưởng meets the President of the Tuscany Region Eugenio Giani and the Mayor of Florence Dario Nardella

It concluded on Friday 28 July in Florence, with meetings with the President of the Tuscany Region Eugenio Giani and the Mayor of Florence Dario Nardella, the state visit to Italy of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam H.E. Võ Văn Thưởng on the occasion of the celebrations of 50 years of diplomatic relations between Italy and Vietnam and the signing of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The President arrived in Florence on the evening of 27 July and was able to appreciate the Tuscan cuisine and in particular the famous Florentine steak at the Le Fonticine restaurant founded in 1939 and recently renovated while preserving its history (partner Destination Florence Convention & visitors Bureau).

Precisely to promote the art of Beccai (ancient name of butchers in Florence), the Accademia della Bistecca alla Fiorentina has started a process together with the Tuscany Region and the Municipality of Florence for recognition of the famous dish at the European Commission.

Maily Anna Maria Nguyen, President of the Italy-Vietnam Foundation inviting her together with the Ambassador of Vietnam in Italy H.E. Duong Hai Hung to return to Florence to taste the Florentine steak again”- declares Nicola Canino Head of External and Institutional Relations of the Academy.

“With the state visit of the President of Vietnam to Florence and the meetings with the President of the Tuscany Region Eugenio Giani and the Mayor of Florence Dario Nardella, further important collaborations begin between the Tuscany Region, the Municipality of Florence and Vietnam in the field of protection and restoration of cultural heritage considering that Vietnam has eight UNESCO sites” – says Cav. Maily Anna Maria Nguyen, President of the Italy-Vietnam Foundation.
