On Wednesday 28 October 2026, the Saet Umbria offices in via Soriano, Perugia, hosted a training day reserved for a delegation of professionals from Vietnam. The Perugia-based company, a supporting member of the Italy-Vietnam Foundation, made its expertise and staff available to explore security, protection, privacy and video surveillance.
For one morning the offices became a classroom. The programme started from the history and evolution of video surveillance solutions, went on to the privacy risks these systems involve, data processing and possible exposure to cyber attacks, and concluded with the organisation of the protection system and escort services for Italian officials.
The speakers
- Dr Guido Barbieri, Colonel (Res.) of the Arma dei Carabinieri: “The Italian system of escort services for high-profile figures”, on the organisation, protection levels and role of the Police Forces in Italy;
- Nassime Assal, IT specialist at Saet Umbria: “Security or Counter-security”;
- Antonio Macciò, director and IT manager of Saet Umbria: “From the security guard to the cloud”, on the revolutionary role of technology in video surveillance in Italy.
The opportunity came about thanks to the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Italy, which Simone Tomassini, director of Saet Umbria and Member of the Foundation’s Committee for Development Cooperation for Umbria, thanked for making the meeting possible. Tomassini expressed great satisfaction with the day, during which the company sought to give the delegation as much information as possible on security, protection and video surveillance in Italy: fields that are part of Saet Umbria’s professional expertise and in which the company provides solutions, support and training. For Saet Umbria it was “a moment of professional growth and sharing”.
The day was covered by the Corriere dell’Umbria: read the article (in Italian).
