On May 4, 2026, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Vietnam in Italy with the new Ambassador, H.E. Nguyen Phuong Anh.

The event was attended by Maily Anna Maria Nguyen, President of the Italy-Vietnam Foundation, and Silvio Vecchione, Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Naples.

The meeting represented an important opportunity for discussion on the programmatic guidelines and development strategies that the Vietnamese Government intends to pursue in the coming years.

Representing the Embassy of Vietnam in Italy were Duong Phuong Thao, Economic Counsellor of Vietnam in Italy; Nguyen Thu Ha, Counsellor of the Embassy of Vietnam; and Tran Dan Le, Assistant to the Ambassador.
