On 23 June 2026, at 10.45 a.m., in the Salone degli Affreschi of the Rectorate of the University of Bari Aldo Moro, the Rector Roberto Bellotti and the President of the Italy-Vietnam Foundation, Cav. Maily Anna Maria Nguyen, signed the Agreement between UniBa and the Italy-Vietnam Foundation for Apulia, aimed at strengthening institutional, cultural, scientific and economic cooperation between the Apulian territory and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The official Vietnamese delegation was led by the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Italy, H.E. Nguyen Phuong Anh.
For the Italy-Vietnam Foundation, alongside President Cav. Maily Anna Maria Nguyen, were present Eng. Vincenzo Sassanelli, member of the Foundation’s Cooperation and Development Committee for Apulia, and Giuseppe Meo, member of the Cooperation and Development Committee for the nautical sector.
The signing of the Agreement is an important step towards consolidating relations between the University of Bari, the Italy-Vietnam Foundation and Vietnamese institutions, with the aim of promoting joint initiatives in the fields of education, research, innovation, cultural exchange and economic development opportunities between Apulia and Vietnam.
