On 15 September 2026, from 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., the Italy-Vietnam Foundation takes part in the workshop “Vietnam: Asia’s new industrial frontier”, organised by Confindustria Romagna at its Forlì offices, in via Punta di Ferro 2/A. The meeting is devoted to the business, investment and development opportunities that Vietnam offers Italian companies.
Vietnam is today one of the most dynamic economies in South-East Asia and one of the leading destinations for industrial investment in the ASEAN area. The country’s ambitions for 2045, the centenary of its foundation, aim to transform the national production system: the model based on low-cost labour is to give way to higher value-added manufacturing. Current investment, the growth of the middle class and the strengthening of the industrial fabric are opening new prospects for commercial, productive and technological cooperation with Italian companies.
The workshop offers a practical overview of the Vietnamese economic and industrial context, of the country’s development strategies and of its most promising sectors, with contributions from professionals and operators who live and work in Vietnam. It is addressed to owners, entrepreneurs, export managers, foreign office staff, sales managers and staff, marketing managers and staff.

Speakers
The discussion is moderated by Lara Piraccini, Head of the Internationalisation Service of Confindustria Romagna and of Meta’s Export service. Speakers include Duong Phuong Thao, Commercial Counsellor of Vietnam in Italy, Maily Anna Maria Nguyen, President of the Italy-Vietnam Foundation and Representative of Becamex IDC Corp in Italy and Europe, Tomaso Andreatta, Vice President of the Italy-Vietnam Foundation, and Meta partners Mirko Mottino, Emanuele Foti, Do Kong Nguyen and Vo Nguyen (Ashley), the last two joining online and speaking in English.
