On the occasion of President Vo Van Thuong and his wife’s state visit to the Italian Republic at the invitation of Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Duong Hai Hung shared with World & Vietnam Newspaper the significance of the visit and the potential for cooperation between the two countries.
This is a visit of great significance, marking a milestone of 50 years of friendship and good cooperation between the two countries and creating new momentum to promote stronger relations between the two countries in the coming times.
This visit is President Vo Van Thuong’s first state visit to a member country of the Group of Major Developed Industries (G7), the European Union (EU) and a strategic partner of Vietnam. In 2023, Vietnam and Italy will celebrate together the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership with many exciting, diverse and practical activities in many regions and cities of the two countries.
